C Kemmler - Stuttgart - Germany
Stunning Black Upright Piano from my Collection

This is your opportunity to purchase another one of my favourite pianos. It was made in Stuttgart Germany around 1920 and is very similar in design to other German pianos of that period. Mainly Gors & Kallmann and Ibach.

The piano may not be as well known as those, but it does have a wonderful soft and mellow tone that is hard to find today and this is why I spent a lot of time and money bringing it up to this high standard!

Before I begin to detail the piano I would like to say that I will arrange Free Delivery for the buyer who lives within a 15 mile radius of Telford in Shropshire.

You can check the distance by going to the website www.theaa.com and click on plan a route from your postcode to TF2 7SA. For deliveries over 15 miles please use the Ask Seller a Question” Link and I will be happy to advise you of the extra delivery costs.

All these pictures were taken this week and I'm sure you will soon notice how beautiful it is, inside and out.

The piano case was fully re-finished last year to what I think you would agree is a Very High Gloss Mirror finish!
It's as close as you will get to an expensive black polyester re-finish that would cost well over £1,000.

Internally the piano is in great shape and has been restored at some stage, although I can not be sure when; I would guess within the past 15 years. As a result I have only had to service and re tune every 6 months. The last service was in December 2006 and the picture of the polished key pins should show how meticulous I am.

The action is in very good condition, the hammers are still immaculate with no wear, all tapes are strong (No odd replacements) and all the springs, felts, leathers are clean and in good condition.

All the original keys have been fully checked, serviced and highly polished as can be seen. NO Chips or marks!

These pictures show the pins and strings, as well as showing the overstrung iron frame.

The piano is tuned to concert pitch and has remained in tune for the past 6 months now, but I will fully retune this week!

The Dimensions are: Width: 59 inches (1500mm) Height: 50 inches (1270mm) Depth: 25.5 inches (650mm)

In summing up, this 85 note 7 octave piano will not only suit a beginner, but it will also suit a modest pianist who is likes a mellow tone and does not mind the slight sustain that you get from an overdamped - overstrung piano. This is hard to explain in simple terms, so here goes.
If you are not a perfectionist who can play the quickest of notes possible and requires each note to mute the instant a key is releases, then this piano will give you wonderful time, great pleasure and take you up to grade 5-6 easily.
It will also give you a better playing experience and overall sound, as it is similar to having a natural reverb. (Singers will know what I'm trying to say?) More pleasing to the ear, Not an On or Off sound, Not Plink Plonk, Not Ear Piercingly Bright, just a very Full Sound that lets you make minor mistakes without them standing out like a sore thumb!

I'm sure you will see from these pictures that this piano is of the finest quality and will give you many years of trouble free playing and pleasure.

Every piano is different, no two pianos are ever the same, even if they are both the same model and were made next to each other!
What suits one may not suit another and I'm down to around 7 pianos now (My Wife wants to move home this year) You will know straight away what feels right for you and the type of music that you like to play.

What makes a good Piano? Don't always go by name or design! Yamaha's tend to be very sharp and bright, but are very good. Bechstein's are either very good or very bad, I have a model III that you can compare this one against if you visit and I will welcome anyone to come and play my favourite wooden framed, straight strung piano without letting you know which one it is! It has caught many people out who comment this is wonderful and then can't stop playing it!

Please take time to read my feedback and you will see 100% excellent piano feedback! You can also see the pianos that I received all this very positive feedback for on my website: www.pianospares.com

Before you dash off to your nearest piano dealer or cross your fingers and bid on another piano please contact me first. I will be more than happy to give you some advise and demanding questions to ask another seller!

WARNING! Don't waste money and time on a piano that has not been tuned for years! There is often a very good reason for this! The piano may be scrap or goes out of tune quickly! A £100 bargain may well end up costing you a few thousand or £75 a month for a piano tuner if he does not give you the bad news to scrap it.
Sorry to go ON, But I really do Love My Pianos!
