This is your opportunity to buy an amazing mahogany Supertone pianola that I have restored back to it former glory!
Also take time to read my feedback!

Please do not try to compare this pianola to all those others you may have see on Ebay selling for as little as 99p!
They are that cheap for a reason! Scrap or require months of work and £1,000s to get them back into shape!
It is for that reason old pianola's have such a bad name and often sell for next to nothing.

You will find below a lot of detailed pictures showing how far I go in making sure that you can buy in confidence.

There are around or over 11,000 parts in a normal piano with around 4,000 moving. In a Pianola those figures are doubled!! It was a challenge that I will not be repeating again.

Before I begin to detail the piano I would like to say that I will arrange Delivery for only £45 as long as the successful bidder lives within a 40 mile radius of Telford in Shropshire.

You can check the distance by going to the website www.theaa.com and click on plan a route from your postcode to TF2 7SA. For deliveries over 40 miles please use the Ask Seller a Question” Link and I will be happy to advise you of the extra delivery costs.

The pictures above show the pianola as it is today and re-polished by hand with urethane to a high gloss mirror finish.
I chose this method to give it a much harder and more practical modern finish. All my other pianos are French Polished.

All these pictures and the movie, apart from the restoration ones were taken only a few days ago.

These pictures show you in more detail of it completed and just before all the workings where put back in place.

As with all my pianos, when I say "I have restored them or fully checked them" I think these pictures will do justice?

If I find any parts that are not up to my standard, I replace them. I have thousands of spares from pianos I have collected over the years that I have SCRAPED because they have had serious structural defects.
Typically from so called Ebay piano bargains! So be warned!

All the keys are perfect, nice and white with no chips. Keybed pins re-polished, new felts installed and then shimmed to level out.

These pictures show in detail the action, valve pack and action bellows . This area of a pianola is really the heart of the instrument and any air leaks here will result in the pianola having to be peddled like a person running a marathon! (You may often see pianola adverts saying "Good Exercise") That often means big problems in other words!! It will also result in notes note playing or just constantly stuck on.

Finally the second heart of a pianola.
What I would like you notice here; is the main part of this player is actually metal piped apart from just a few easy to replace rubber pipes that I have replaced. The majority of pianola's where fully piped in rubber tube that by now are as fragile and porous as a biscuit. It is near impossible to replace one of those old rubber pipes around the tracker bar without snapping the rest!

The Bellows are in excellent order as you can see and if the tracker bar has tape placed over all the holes, then you will find it almost impossible to pedal the unit.
That is a very simple test you can do on any pedal pianola to see how much air is leaking into in! If you can pedal, then it has serious problems!

The Soundboard, Cast iron frame are perfect, No cracks or loose tuning pins present.

As a result the pianola is tuned to concert pitch and remains in tune very well. It is also a very powerful player and I tend to play it with both base and treble levers closed, so it would easily suit a very large room. Maybe in a retirement home, club etc for sing along's?

Overall this pianola would be ideal for either someone who does not play piano and just wants to listen to actual live piano music or a person who wishes to learn to play the piano. Although, as with many pianola's the manual playing side was never as good as a pure piano. Maybe I'm being too critical with statement as I have Bluthner's, Bechstein's, Ibach's, Broadwood's and many other pianos to compare it against!

As you will have seen from the video it can play the most complicated music with ease and I will be including around 30 pianola rolls to get you stated (Some of the rolls do need the repairing or may be no good as I have not played them all).
They still manufacture rolls today and the biggest supplier is QRS, here is their website: http://www.qrsmusic.com/music.asp?cid1=28&pg=2&display=10 You find all sorts of music there, including modern songs.
Ebay is also another good source of music rolls and they can be purchased from as little as 50p a roll if you buy a job lot.

The Pianola Dimensions are:

Width: 58 inches (1475mm) Height: 51 inches (1295mm) Depth: 27.5 inches (695mm)

I'm sure you will see from these pictures that this pianola is in outstanding condition and will give you many years of trouble free playing and pleasure.

This is only one example of my work/ hobby and I always have a few other pianos that will suit grades of pianists.
I collect pianos and when ever I buy another one I have to keep the peace at home and part with one or two depending on what I have bought, hence this one and my Ibach is on sale!
I may also have to part with my imaculate Bluthner becuase my wife classes the grand I have just bought as three pianos!

So before you dash off to your nearest piano dealer or cross your fingers and bid on another piano please contact me first.
